Development of tailored job strategies that would assist in identifying suitable and realistic job opportunities; A comprehensive career self assessment and strategic career planning process enables the participant to identify job options for an on-going rewarding career whilst maintaining balance between their work and personal lives. Career Anchors is a tool we use to help clients define which of their needs has the highest priority; and which of the factors in their work lives they may not be willing to give up because they represent who they really are. We use T-Bar analysis - which is advertised job role analysis matched to skills set, capability and experience to identify suitable and realistic job opportunities. One-on-one sessions or 24/7 communication for Mentoring, Executive Coaching and Career Transition programs; All sessions are held on a one-to-one basis with a dedicated senior consultant. Emotional support; We understand the many effects redundancy has on the individual and that the level of emotional support will vary from client to client. We explore these issues with our clients as it is an important step in getting clients to move forward in a positive way. We are not trained psychologists and provide the level of support commensurate with our training and experience.
Enhancing soft skills and self awareness; Using psychometric profiles, coaching, mentoring and career anchor profiles we can heighten self awareness and build confidence with our clients. This is an important part of the career transition process.
Assistance to prepare resumes and job applications; We employ proven techniques and processes to develop an effective Personal Marketing Portfolio including résumé and covering letters. Comprehensive one-to-one assistance is provided. Using the STAR [situation, task, action, result] approach for Resume building we create word based documents that are achievements based, employer relevant and easy to navigate and update. We demonstrate how to write effective cover letters and will edit and review documents for clients. Interview preparation that will give individuals the confidence in presenting themselves; We conduct critical evaluation and development of interview skills and preparation for even the most challenging of interviews. Having discussed and reviewed the individual’s expectations of their next job and what they have to offer in the market place, we: Prepare the client to market their experience, technical skills, qualifications and personal qualities. Help the client to understand what interviewers are looking for during the interview process. Guide the client on how to structure their responses to difficult behavioural interview questions. Assist the client to manage the overall interview process in a more proactive way. Show the client how to handle questions about salary requirements and expectations. This session includes two exercises: “Interview Planning” and How to “Handle the Interview” together with a “mock” interview. Interview techniques (including behavioural interviewing); We are skilled in a range of interview techniques including behavioural interviewing; competency based interview techniques and assessment centre activities. We have the ability to conduct ‘mock’ panel interviews, one-to-one interviews and hold behavioural based assessment centre activities. We often provide clients with multiple opportunities to prepare for each and every interview they attend. Job Search We support our clients in the job search process in their applications in a number of ways – including the hidden job market; networks, on-line profiles, business media and social media sites; job boards; Provide the appropriate level of support and advice to maximise opportunities for employees.
